Common questions
Glowly can’t find my strip
- Close the app the strip came with, and any other LED app. Most controllers accept one connection at a time.
- Check that Bluetooth is on, and that Glowly has the Bluetooth permission (“Nearby devices” on Android).
- Plug the strip in and stay within a few meters of the controller.
- Tap “Show other Bluetooth devices” on the Add a light screen, in case your controller uses an unusual name.
- Glowly works with ELK-BLEDOM and Triones controllers. Wi-Fi lights and lights that need an account aren’t supported.
The colors don’t match what I picked
Some strips wire their colors in a different order. Try a pure red, green and blue swatch: if two are swapped, email us with the strip’s name and we’ll look into it. Each light’s screen also shows the bytes Glowly sent, which helps us compare.
Music sync doesn’t react
- Allow microphone access when Glowly asks, or turn it on in your phone’s settings.
- Keep Glowly open: music sync listens only while the app is on screen.
- Raise Sensitivity for quiet music, or lower it if the lights react to talking.
My schedule didn’t run
Schedules are saved on the strip itself, and work on ELK-BLEDOM controllers. If the strip lost power, its clock resets: open Glowly near the strip once and it sets the clock again.
I bought Pro but it’s not unlocked
Open Settings in Glowly and tap Restore purchase, signed in to the same Google Play or Apple account you bought it with. Pro is a one-time purchase and stays with that store account.
Can I try Glowly without a strip?
Yes. Glowly includes a demo light that works like a real one, so you can try colors, effects, scenes and music sync before your strip arrives.
